Day of Remembrance and Sorrow 2024 - June 22

This day will forever remain in history, because it was the day that changed the lives of millions of people! We will never forget this “black” date! Ruthlessly and brazenly, war broke into our lands, but we can say “thank you” to our heroes who were able to win and defend their Motherland! Your feat is eternal, as is our memory of it!

On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, I would like to wish each of us peace and health. May neither us, nor our children, nor grandchildren ever have to wake up to the terrible sounds of war. Appreciate what you have, take care of yourself and your loved ones, with gratitude and warmth of soul remember the exploits of our heroes, greet each day with love and joy.

The Day of Remembrance and Sorrow is a special day that reminds all people on earth that evil cannot be destroyed by evil, that no goals justify human sacrifice, and that life is the most valuable gift given to us from above, and no one has the right to take it away. Let this knowledge and the lessons of history serve as an eternal reminder of the dead, heroes, nobility, and let the warmth of hearts warm your neighbor, make you think about the transience of time and awaken the light of the soul with a spark of goodness.

No words can express the pain, horror and panic that our ancestors had to quickly suppress and pull themselves together when the first day of the Great Patriotic War was announced. We only want to bow deeply to those who did not lose heart in the face of great danger, did not feel sorry for themselves, every second during these difficult years, devoting their strength to the front and the desired victory that our Fatherland achieved, albeit at an unaffordable price.

On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, I want to remember with great gratitude and great respect all our heroes who died for peace in their native land. I would like to wish that our children and grandchildren never know what war means. I wish that we live amicably, prosperously and with dignity. Appreciate the world and take care of yourself. Be proud of our soldiers, who once proved themselves to be selfless patriots and gave us life!

Years ago, the German army invaded the territory of the USSR. Today we celebrate another anniversary of that sad day. We remember all those who died so that we can live today. We promise to always remember and appreciate the sacrifice made by men and women during the Great Patriotic War.
